What customers said, and approving it without leaving the product
no stored settingsThe Reviews section, under Insights, says in its heading how many reviews the product has and how many are pending, with a Review settings link to the store-wide review screens. Below, it shows the average rating from the approved reviews, then the five latest reviews with their stars, title, date and status.
Approve approves a pending review straight away, and Open opens any review in the review editor to reply or edit. The button under the list opens the reviews list filtered to this product.
Reviews appear here once the product has been saved. Reading a product’s reviews together is the right way to judge a complaint: one two-star review among thirty good ones is noise; three saying the same thing is a fault, a sizing problem or a misleading photograph, and all three are fixable.

Allowing reviews
Per product, on top of the store-wide rules
no stored settingsAllow customer reviews on this product shows the review form and the approved reviews on the product page. Most stores leave it on everywhere, but there are good exceptions: a service, a gift card, a made-to-order item where a review would be about the process rather than the product.
Turning it off hides the product’s reviews on the storefront and stops new ones, without deleting anything; switch it back on and they return. The card tells you how many existing reviews are hidden. The switch waits for Save like the rest of the editor.
Whether a reviewer has to sign in, whether their name is shown, and whether you are emailed when a review arrives are store-wide settings, not per product.
💡 Note: Requiring a login to review, showing reviewer names and review emails are set store-wide under Settings › Store › Products.
