Pricing & Tax
What the product costs, what it costs in quantity, what it costs particular customers, and how it is taxed. 3 parts.

From your WordPress dashboard open EasyCart › Products, open a product, then choose Pricing.

Search instead of hunting
The search box at the top of the page filters it as you type, and it matches hidden keywords as well as names. The same box on the Settings home searches every panel at once.
Jump between sections
A section list sits beside the page and follows you down it, so you can move straight to the part you came for without scrolling through everything between.
Advanced settings are folded away
Each section hides its rarely-changed settings behind a Show N advanced settings link, naming the first few so you know whether it is worth opening. 0 of the 0 settings on this page start folded.
Dependent settings appear as needed
Settings shown indented here only exist once the setting above them is switched on. Sections of the editor reveal their fields as you switch a feature on, and hide them again when you switch it off.
Saving
Switches and dropdowns save the moment you change them. Anything you type collects in a save bar at the foot of the page that counts your unsaved changes and warns you before you navigate away.
Locked settings
Rows marked with a padlock need WP EasyCart PRO or Premium. They stay visible so you can see what the upgrade adds. Nothing on this page is locked.
What it costs
Price, tiers and tax
The price itself, the rules that change it for some buyers, and how it is taxed.
Price and how it is shown
The base price, a previous price, and custom wording
no stored settingsThe base price is what the product costs before anything else acts on it. A previous price can be set alongside it, which is what produces the struck-through comparison price on the storefront.
A custom price label replaces the price with wording of your own, for products priced on application or sold on enquiry. Where a product has variants at different prices a price range is shown instead, and how that range reads is configurable.
There is also a login-for-pricing option, which hides the price from anyone not signed in. That is a trade store pattern; on a retail store it mostly costs you traffic, because a price nobody can see is a page nobody links to.
Volume and role pricing
Cheaper in quantity, or cheaper for certain customers
no stored settingsVolume pricing sets quantity-based price breaks: buy more, pay less per unit. Whether the storefront advertises the lowest tier with an “as low as” prefix, and whether each option combination counts towards a tier separately or all variants add together, are store-wide settings rather than per product.
Role pricing gives customers in a particular role their own price. This is how wholesale, trade and membership pricing works, and the customer simply sees their price rather than a discount applied later. Role prices can be managed here for one product, or across the catalogue from the roles screen.
The two combine, and the order they resolve in is worth testing on a real cart before you rely on it.
💡 Note: How volume pricing is advertised, and whether variants count towards tiers separately, are set under Settings › Products. Role prices can also be managed across the whole catalogue from User Roles.
Tax
Whether this product is taxable, and at what class
no stored settingsA product is either taxable or not, and where it is, it carries a tax class. Classes exist because not everything is taxed alike: food, books, clothing and digital goods are treated differently in many places.
Getting this wrong is quiet and expensive. Nothing on the storefront announces that a product was not taxed, and the discrepancy usually surfaces at filing time. If you sell anything that might fall outside your standard rate, set the class deliberately rather than accepting the default.
⚠️ Careful: An incorrect tax class fails silently and is usually discovered at filing time. Set it explicitly on anything not taxed at your standard rate; the rates themselves live under Settings › Taxes.
