Price, cost and how the price is shown
The base price bar, cost per item, custom labels and login for pricing
no stored settingsThe price itself is set on the General tab, next to the title. This tab shows it at the top as the Base price, with the previous price struck through when there is one, and Edit price jumps back to the field.
The Pricing card starts with Cost per item: what one unit costs you, from your supplier or a fulfillment partner. Shoppers never see it; orders record it so profit can be reported.
Custom Price Label ( PRO ) shows your own wording instead of the price, on the product list, the product page, the cart or any mix of them, for products priced on application. Login for Pricing hides the price until the shopper signs in, optionally only for one user role, with your own Login Label. Custom Price Range Display shows a range such as $90-$99 instead of a single price.
A hidden price is a trade store pattern. On a retail store it mostly costs you traffic, because a price nobody can see is a page nobody links to.
Volume and B2B pricing
Cheaper in quantity, or cheaper for certain customers
no stored settingsThe Advanced Pricing card holds two PRO features, each written as a sentence you fill in. Volume Pricing sets quantity price breaks: buy 10 or more for $9.99 each, 50 or more for $8.49. Add as many tiers as you need with Add Tier.
B2B Pricing gives a user role its own price: choose a role, enter what it pays, and Add Role Price. This is how wholesale, trade and member pricing works, and the customer simply sees their price rather than a discount applied later.
Whether the store advertises the lowest tier with an “as low as” prefix, and whether variations count towards a tier separately or together, are store-wide settings. The two features combine, so test a real cart before you rely on the result.

Tax
Whether the product is taxed, and its TaxCloud code
no stored settingsProduct is Taxable decides whether sales tax applies to this product, and VAT Enabled whether VAT does. TIC (Tax Cloud) ( PRO ) is the TaxCloud taxability code for the product, used when TaxCloud calculates your tax, because food, clothing and digital goods are taxed differently in many places.
Getting this wrong is quiet and expensive. Nothing on the storefront announces that a product was not taxed, and the difference usually surfaces at filing time.
⚠️ Careful: A wrong tax switch fails silently and is usually found at filing time. The rates themselves, and which tax service is in use, live under Settings › Payments & Taxes › Taxes.
