Admin Settings
The settings that change how the admin itself behaves, how your storefront builds its links, and what gets logged when something goes wrong. 6 short sections, with every setting named in plain language and its factory default shown beside it.
Before you start
Where it lives, and how the panel works
From your WordPress dashboard open EasyCart › Settings, then pick Admin under Customize.
WP Admin › EasyCart › Settings › Customize › Admin
Search instead of hunting
The search box at the top of the page filters it as you type, and it matches hidden keywords as well as names. The same box on the Settings home searches every panel at once.
Jump between sections
A section list sits beside the page and follows you down it, so you can move straight to the part you came for without scrolling through everything between.
Advanced settings are folded away
Each section hides its rarely-changed settings behind a Show N advanced settings link, naming the first few so you know whether it is worth opening. 4 of the 16 settings on this page start folded.
Dependent settings appear as needed
Settings shown indented here only exist once the setting above them is switched on. Nothing on this page is hidden behind another switch, so every setting below is visible from the moment you open the panel.
Saving
Switches and dropdowns save the moment you change them. Anything you type collects in a save bar at the foot of the page that counts your unsaved changes and warns you before you navigate away.
Locked settings
Rows marked with a padlock need WP EasyCart PRO or Premium. They stay visible so you can see what the upgrade adds. 3 settings on this page are PRO features.

Working in the admin
Screens and shortcuts
What appears on the quick-add panel, which extra columns the order list carries, and how long the admin lists run before they page.
Quick add panel
Extra fields on the Products › Add product slide-out
4 settingsStock fields
Adds stock tracking and quantity to the Add product slide-out, so a new product starts life with its inventory already set instead of needing a second visit. Worth turning on if you track stock at all; the alternative is a catalogue full of products that silently behave as unlimited.
Shipping fields
Adds weight and shipping fields to the quick-add panel. If you use live carrier rates this is close to essential, because a product with no weight either quotes nothing or quotes wrongly, and that is discovered at checkout rather than here.
Tax fields
Adds the taxable switch and tax class to both the quick-add and quick-edit panels. Useful where products fall into different tax classes, such as food against general goods, and you want that decided at the moment of entry rather than corrected later.
Variant fields
Adds the option-set picker to the quick-add panel, so sizes and colours can be attached while the product is being created. On by default, and the most commonly used of these four: most products that need variants need them immediately.
Orders
Extra columns on the order list and what happens after a refund
3 settingsPre-order pickup date column
Adds a column to the Orders list showing the pickup date chosen on pre-order items. Only worth the horizontal space if you actually take pre-orders, but if you do, it turns the order list into a working schedule.
Restaurant pickup time column
Adds a column showing the expected pickup time on restaurant-style orders. For a kitchen taking orders through the day, this is the column that matters most, since it sorts the queue by when food has to be ready rather than when it was ordered.
Email the customer after a refund
Emails the customer automatically whenever a full or partial refund completes from the order screen. Worth having on: a refund the customer has not been told about generates a support message, and often a chargeback, before the money reaches their statement.
Admin screens
List paging and promotional panels across the EasyCart admin
2 settingsRows per page on admin lists
The starting page size for products, orders, users and the other list screens. It is only a starting point: once an admin picks a different size on a list, that choice is remembered for them on that list and overrides this. Lower it if your admin screens feel slow on a large catalogue.
Hide the text notifications promo
Removes the text notifications promotional panels from the order screens and the store status page. It also disappears on its own once a text notifications plan is active, so this is only for stores that have decided against it and want the space back.
Beyond the browser
Apps, links and logs
The mobile admin apps, how storefront URLs are built, and what gets recorded when a payment or webhook goes wrong.
Mobile apps
The WP EasyCart admin apps for iOS and Android ( Premium )
2 settingsPush a notification for each new order
Sends the order number and total to the WP EasyCart admin apps as each order arrives. The device has to allow notifications as well, which is the usual reason this appears not to work: the setting here is on but permission was declined on the phone.
Allow sign-in from older app versions (v1 login)
Keeps a legacy login credential for admin users so older versions of the app can still connect. Turn it off once every device is on the current app. Two things to know before you do: the stored legacy credentials are wiped the moment you switch it off, and turning it back on later does not restore them, so every admin has to sign in again before an old app works.
💡 Note: Turning off legacy app sign-in wipes the stored credentials immediately, and turning it back on does not bring them back. Every admin has to sign in again before an older app can connect, so check every device is on the current app first.
Storefront behavior
Store-wide switches that change how product pages link and submit
2 settingsProduct link style
How product, category and manufacturer links are built. Permalinks give each one its own WordPress URL, which is what search engines index and what customers can sensibly share, and it is the right answer for essentially every store. It does require WordPress permalinks to be switched on. Basic links open everything on the store page with a query string, and exist for older stores that were built that way.
Built-in inquiry form on inquiry-mode products
Inquiry-mode products show the built-in name, email and message form, and the request is emailed to you. Turn it off to send shoppers to each product’s own inquiry URL instead, which suits stores routing enquiries into a CRM. Products with no URL set still fall back to the built-in form, so nobody hits a dead end.
⚠️ Careful: Product link style changes every product, category and manufacturer URL on your store. Switching an established store from permalinks to basic links throws away the addresses search engines have indexed and customers have bookmarked. Permalinks are the right setting for new stores, and moving away from them is rarely worth the cost.
Diagnostics
Logging, error visibility and usage data
3 settingsLog gateway and webhook responses
Records every payment gateway response and incoming webhook. Leave this on. When a payment fails or an order does not appear, the log is the difference between tracing what actually happened and guessing, and the entries cost you nothing until you need them.
Show PHP errors from the WP EasyCart PRO plugin
The PRO plugin normally silences PHP warnings and notices, because on many hosts they would otherwise print into the page and break checkout. Turn this on while you are troubleshooting with support, then turn it off again. Leaving it on in production risks warnings appearing where customers can see them.
Anonymous usage data
Sends WP EasyCart anonymous details about how the store is set up, such as which gateway and shipping method you use and roughly how many products you have. No customer or order data is included. It exists to steer what gets built next, and it is off unless you choose to send it.
💡 Note: Gateway logging is what makes a failed payment traceable after the fact. The entries live under Settings › Log entries, alongside the refused inquiries recorded by the product inquiry protection.
