Per Page Options
The page sizes your shoppers can choose from, and which one they start on. A short working screen rather than a list of switches, in 3 parts.
Before you start
Where it lives, and how the panel works
From your WordPress dashboard open EasyCart › Settings, then pick Per Page Options under Customize.
WP Admin › EasyCart › Settings › Customize › Per Page Options
Search instead of hunting
The search box at the top of the page filters it as you type, and it matches hidden keywords as well as names. The same box on the Settings home searches every panel at once.
Jump between sections
A section list sits beside the page and follows you down it, so you can move straight to the part you came for without scrolling through everything between.
Advanced settings are folded away
Each section hides its rarely-changed settings behind a Show N advanced settings link, naming the first few so you know whether it is worth opening. 0 of the 0 settings on this page start folded.
Dependent settings appear as needed
Settings shown indented here only exist once the setting above them is switched on. The page sizes only appear on your store when paging is switched on, which is a setting on the Products panel.
Saving
Switches and dropdowns save the moment you change them. Anything you type collects in a save bar at the foot of the page that counts your unsaved changes and warns you before you navigate away.
Locked settings
Rows marked with a padlock need WP EasyCart PRO or Premium. They stay visible so you can see what the upgrade adds. Nothing on this page is locked.
Page sizes
The menu shoppers choose from
The values on offer, the one they start on, and the two switches that decide whether the menu appears at all.
The page sizes
The numbers that appear in the storefront’s products-per-page menu
no stored settingsThe panel is a row of chips, one per page size, and each chip is a number of products. Type a whole number and add it; click a chip to remove it. That list is exactly what a shopper sees in the per-page menu on your store, in ascending order, so it is worth keeping short. Three or four choices is plenty; a menu of ten numbers is a decision nobody wants to make.
Two rules are enforced for you. You cannot remove the last value, because a store with no page size has no way to render a listing. And values above 500 are refused outright, with a warning as you climb towards it, because a single page holding hundreds of products is slow to build on the server and slower still to load on a phone. If you want shoppers to see everything at once, the honest way is to turn paging off altogether on the Products panel rather than setting an enormous page size here.
Adding a number that is already in the list is rejected rather than silently duplicated, so you can type freely without checking first.
⚠️ Careful: Page sizes above 500 are refused, and anything approaching it will make listings slow to build and slow to load. To show everything on one page, turn paging off under Settings › Products instead of setting a very large page size here.
The starred default
Which page size shoppers start on before they choose
no stored settingsOne chip can be starred, and that is the page size the storefront starts every shopper on. Star a different chip to move it, or clear it to go back to automatic.
The fallback is worth knowing, because it decides what happens when nothing is starred. The storefront takes the middle value from your list. That also happens if the number you starred is later removed, so the default quietly follows the shape of your list rather than breaking. It means a list of 12, 24 and 48 starts shoppers on 24 whether or not you ever touch the star.
Choose deliberately if your products are image-heavy. The starting page size is the first impression of how fast your store feels, and most shoppers never change it.
What this page depends on
Two switches on the Products panel decide whether any of it is visible
no stored settingsThis panel only controls the contents of the menu. Whether the menu exists at all, and whether products are paged in the first place, are settings on the Products panel, and both are surfaced here so the page explains itself rather than leaving you to guess.
Split products into pages is the master switch. With it off, every product renders on one page and none of this matters. Let shoppers pick a page size decides whether the menu is shown. With paging on but the menu off, your starred default becomes a fixed page size that shoppers cannot change, which is a perfectly reasonable setup for a tightly controlled store.
💡 Note: Both switches live under Settings › Products, in the Product lists section. Nothing on this page has any effect until paging is on.
