WP Enable User Extension
One account creation. Two user systems. The WP Enable User extension syncs WP EasyCart users over to WordPress Users automatically — so shoppers who register in your store also get a WordPress account, complete with login and logout functionality.
Two User Systems, One Sync
To understand the concept, know this first: WP EasyCart Users are a unique and different user account from WordPress Users. We separate them for a variety of reasons — a more secure system, plus more control and detail for users who shop and use ecommerce than for those who simply manage the website or blog.
💡 Why sync them? Many WordPress plugins rely on WP Users for their operations — so it’s often nice to have your WP EasyCart users sync over to WP Users. Install and activate this plugin and the sync happens automatically: any WP EasyCart user who creates an account is also created in WP Users, along with login/logout functionality.
Download & Install the Extension
Every EasyCart extension installs as its own WordPress plugin — a very easy task with WordPress. Read our short guide to learn how to install a WordPress plugin and EasyCart Premium extensions.
Installation Steps to Follow
Install. Test. Log in. Here’s the whole process.
Install the Plugin
That’s it — there are currently no settings for this plugin. Once it’s installed and active, the sync is live.
Test the Installation
Visit your WP EasyCart account page on your website and create/register a new user account as you normally would as a shopper. You should see the user go into your WP EasyCart › Users account section as normal. Then go to WordPress › Users — you should see the same email setup inserted there. That means the installation is running.
Log In Once, Logged Into Both
By logging into a WP EasyCart account, a user is also logged into WordPress with their synced user account. That opens the door to running third-party plugins that require a WordPress account for login activity.
💡 Note on passwords: The actual WordPress user password is different — we cannot sync those. What this plugin offers is the ability to log into WP EasyCart and also be logged into WordPress at the same time.
