Getting started
Connect Stamps.com
What you need, your Stamps.com account and postage, and the address on your labels.
Before you start
What the extension needs, and connecting your Stamps.com account
no stored settingsWhat you need. A Premium license, with Stamps.com installed from EasyCart › Extensions, which also installs WP EasyCart Premium. Buying labels needs WP EasyCart 6.0.2 or newer and WP EasyCart Premium 1.1.0 or newer; rates at checkout also need WP EasyCart PRO 6.0.2 or newer. And a Stamps.com account on a plan that allows integrations, with postage on it.
Connect. In Stamps.com account below, press Connect Stamps.com. You sign in on Stamps.com’s own page and come back to the store. The store never sees or keeps your Stamps.com password. The Connection row then reads Connected with your Stamps.com username. Fill in Ship from, and you are ready to buy your first label.
In your Stamps.com account. Once connected, the section links straight into your Stamps.com account for payment methods, automatic postage reload, UPS, FedEx and DHL Express, label printing preferences, the logo on labels, refunds, SCAN forms and print history. Whether labels show the postage amount is one of those printing preferences.
If the Connect button shows Coming soon, connecting through WP EasyCart is still being set up; check back soon.
💡 Note: The Stamps.com sign-in is stored by WP EasyCart Premium. A copy of the store, such as a staging site, never uses the live sign-in: it asks you to connect there separately, or to confirm the store has moved.

Sign in with your Stamps.com account. The store never sees or keeps your password.
3 settingsWarn me when postage is under
When your Stamps.com postage drops below this amount, the Orders screens and the Ship page show a warning with an Add postage link. The Postage balance row above shows the balance, and its Add postage button buys $25 to $500 more, charged by Stamps.com to your payment method on file. Leave it empty to never warn.
Test labels
Uses Stamps.com’s test environment. Labels print VOID and cost nothing, and their tracking is never read. The test environment has its own sign-in, so connect again after switching it either way.
Check the connection
Check now reads your account, carriers, services and postage balance from Stamps.com again, and lists the carriers on the account. Use it after adding a carrier in Stamps.com.
⚠️ Careful: Test labels print VOID. Carriers will not accept a package shipped on one, so switch Test labels off, and connect again, before you ship for real.
Ship from
The sender address on your labels, and where returns come back to.
10 settingsName
The sender name printed on every label.
Company
Optional. Printed with the name when filled in.
Street address
The street address labels ship from. Return labels come back here too.
Apartment, suite, unit
Optional second address line.
City
Your city.
State or province
The two-letter code in the US and Canada, such as CA or ON.
ZIP or postal code
Your ZIP or postal code. Rates at checkout are priced from it, so they need it.
Country
The country you ship from.
Phone
UPS, FedEx and international labels will not print without a phone number.
Leave it empty to use your store’s email.
Moving from version 1
What carries over, and the one thing you must do
no stored settingsVersion 1 kept your Stamps.com username and password in the store. Version 2 signs in on Stamps.com’s own page instead, so the update clears the saved password. Connect Stamps.com once after updating, with the same account. The Connection row names it, and the Orders screens remind you. Until then no labels can be bought.
Your ship-from address, label size, file type and low postage amount carry over. Labels bought with version 1 move onto their orders in the background, so they show with the tracking number. They cannot be reprinted or voided from EasyCart; do that in your Stamps.com account. Old Stamps.com menu links now open the matching order, the Ship page or the settings.
⚠️ Careful: After updating from version 1, no labels can be bought until you press Connect Stamps.com and sign in.

One order at a time or a whole batch, and the choices the label window makes for you.
Buying a label from an order
Compare carriers, buy, print, all on the order screen
no stored settingsOpen an order. Each package waiting to ship has a Buy Stamps.com label button, and Create shipping label lists Stamps.com too. The label window shows your postage balance, checks the address and starts from the package’s box and weight. Pick another box from your boxes under Settings › Shipping, or your own size. Add insurance, a signature or Saturday delivery under Extras, and fill in customs for international packages. Then get rates, compare your carriers, and buy. A double click or a retry never buys a second label.
Once bought, the package carries the tracking number and new buttons:
Print label: opens the label again. Stamps.com makes it fresh each time.
Customs forms: for international packages.
Void: cancels a label you will not use. The refund shows in your Stamps.com account within 2 to 3 weeks.
Return label: buys a prepaid return label for the package. Email to customer then sends it with your Return labels email.
Tracking. Stamps.com sends no updates, so the store asks every hour about labels still on their way from the last 45 days, each one every four hours. Once every package is delivered, the order can move to Delivered.

What the label window picks for you, and what happens after you buy.
13 settingsLabel size
4×6 label suits label printers. Letter paper prints on office paper. There are also 4×6.75 and 4×8.25 sizes with a doc tab. The label window and the Ship page can pick another size for one label or batch.
File
PDF, PNG image, or ZPL, which goes straight to Zebra and other thermal printers.
Carriers
The carriers the label window compares. USPS works on every account. UPS, FedEx, DHL Express, GlobalPost and Canada Post show not set up in Stamps.com yet until you add them in your Stamps.com account; then press Check now.
Rate chosen for you
The rate the label window and bulk labels start on: the service the customer paid for at checkout, the cheapest, the fastest, or always one service. It only preselects. You can always pick a different rate before you buy.
Service
Shown when Rate chosen for you is Always one service. A package that cannot use this service gets the cheapest rate instead.
Check ship-to addresses
Before you buy, the label window checks the ship-to address with Stamps.com. It says whether the address is verified and residential, business or a PO box, and offers a correction when it finds one. You can always ship to the address as entered.
Mark the order shipped
Moves a paid order to Shipped once every package on it has a label. You can untick it in the label window for one order.
Email the customer the tracking link
Sends WP EasyCart’s shipped email with the tracking link as each package’s label is bought. You can untick it in the label window for one order.
Print on the label
What prints on the label under the address: the order number, the order number with each item’s quantity and SKU, or nothing.
Insure orders worth at least
Orders worth this much or more come with Stamps.com insurance for the order value already filled in the label window. Leave it empty to never add it.
Ask for a signature on orders of at least
Orders worth this much or more ask for a signature on delivery. Leave it empty for never.
Signature
The signature to ask for: anyone at the address, or an adult aged 21 or over.
Labels bought after this hour ship the next day
The ship date printed on the label. Pick an hour from 10 AM to 8 PM, in your store’s time zone, and labels bought after it carry tomorrow’s date. A Sunday date moves to Monday. Leave it on Never to always use today.
Customs
For packages that leave the country or go to military addresses. Each product can have its own HS code and country of origin ( product editor › Customs and packing ); USPS needs a 6-digit HS code on every commercial item.

How the contents are declared on the customs form: merchandise, gift, sample, documents, returned goods or other.
If it cannot be delivered
What the carrier does with a package it cannot deliver: return it to you, or abandon it.
Default HS tariff code
The tariff code for products without their own, 6 to 10 digits. A product sets its own in the product editor under Customs and packing. The label window lists any item that still has no 6-digit code.
Default country of origin
Where products without their own country of origin are made. Leave it empty to use the ship-from country.
Many orders at once
The Ship with Stamps.com page: labels in bulk and the end-of-day SCAN form
no stored settingsOn the Orders list, tick up to 100 orders and choose Buy Stamps.com labels from the bulk actions. The Ship with Stamps.com page lists each one with where it ships and the service the customer chose.
Pick the rate and the label size, choose whether to mark the orders shipped and email customers, then press Get rates and Buy labels. Every package on every order gets a label. Print all labels then opens them together.
End of day. A SCAN form lists the day’s USPS labels on one page, so the carrier scans a single barcode at pickup and every package shows as accepted at once. Create SCAN form appears once you have bought USPS labels through EasyCart that day.
Labels bought, at the bottom of the page, lists every label with its postage and status. Search by order or tracking number, and reprint any label from there.

2 settingsShow Stamps.com rates at checkout
Offers the services you pick below as shipping choices at checkout, priced live with your own Stamps.com rates. Needs WP EasyCart PRO, your ship-from ZIP code, and Live shipping rates as the store’s rate method under Settings › Shipping. Each cart is priced as one package with its weight, and its size when the products have one. A quote is reused for 30 minutes.
Services to offer
Which Stamps.com services to offer. Each one becomes its own live rate. The service the customer picks is saved on the order, so the label window starts on that same service.
Return labels
The email a customer gets with a return label from the order screen. {store} and {order} are filled in.
2 settingsSubject
The subject of the return label email. Leave it empty for Your return label from {store} ( order {order} ).
Message
Your words above the Print the return label button in that email. {store} and {order} are filled in. Leave it empty for a short line telling the customer to print the label, stick it on and hand the parcel to the carrier.
