Start Using OptimalShip
Five quick steps and your international rates are live.
Enter Your Export/Import Number
Enter your export/import number in the setup box.
Enter Your Country Code
Enter your 2-digit country code, e.g. US.
Add Any Optional Options
Enter other optional options if you need them.
Turn On Live Shipping Rates
You must be using Live Shipping Rates in the admin setup. Go to WP EasyCart › Settings › Shipping Rates and select live shipping rates.
Set Up Domestic Live Rates Too
You must also set up another form of live rates for domestic shipping — OptimalShip is for international shipping only.
Insurance Options
Insurance can be set up as a minimum amount plus a percentage of the merchandise sold — whichever is greater applies. Change these values in the setup as needed (added in version 1.0.1).
💡 Example: With the percentage set to .01 (1%) and a $3.00 minimum — sell $250 worth of merchandise and the percentage doesn’t exceed the minimum, so insurance is $3.00. Sell $450 worth of merchandise with the same setup, and insurance is $4.50.
