Installation Guide

System Requirements

WP EasyCart runs on any standard self-hosted WordPress installation. Here are the server specs, PHP settings, and hosting environments we support and recommend.

WordPress

Single WordPress site required

WP EasyCart is designed for a single WordPress installation. EasyCart is not compatible with MultiSite (MU/MS). It also cannot be used on WordPress.com since that platform does not allow individual plugin installations — you need a self-hosted WordPress site.

Server Specs

PHP & PHP settings

EasyCart has been tested on PHP 5.6 and higher. We recommend PHP 7.0 or greater (PHP 8+ preferred).

  • PHP Version: 7.0 or greater (PHP 8+ preferred)
  • Max File Upload Size: 10MB or greater
  • Post Max Size: 10MB or greater
  • Memory Limit: 128MB or greater
  • Max Execution Time: 300 seconds or greater

Database

MySQL & MariaDB

MySQL version 5.0 or later is required — we recommend the most current stable release. MariaDB is also fully compatible and works well with EasyCart.

Hosting

Hosting & server environments

Apache, Nginx, and IIS web servers are all supported. We recommend Linux-based hosting with Apache or Nginx, though Windows environments work as well.

We’ve tested EasyCart on many hosting environments and have had the best results with Bluehost and WP Engine.

WP Engine users: Disable caching for your /store, /cart, and /account pages to prevent dynamic content from being cached.

Ready to install?

If your server meets these requirements, you’re ready to go. Install the free edition and start building your store.
