Installing the EasyCart Plugin
WP EasyCart is available for free from the WordPress plugin repository. Install it in under a minute, run the setup wizard, and your store pages are ready to go. Upgrade to Professional or Premium anytime — no data is ever lost.
Quick Start
Two ways to install
Direct install
In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New, search for “EasyCart”, and click Install then Activate.
Manual upload
Download the .zip from wordpress.org, then go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the package.
Run the setup wizard
After activation, a 2-minute wizard helps you configure taxes, shipping, payments, and creates your store, cart, and account pages.
Method 1
Direct installation from WordPress
- Log into your WordPress admin dashboard
- Navigate to Plugins → Add New
- Search for “EasyCart”
- Click Install Now, then Activate
- The setup wizard launches automatically — follow the prompts to configure taxes, shipping, payment gateways, and create your store pages
Tip: The setup wizard takes about 2 minutes. You can skip it and adjust everything later in WP EasyCart → Settings.
Method 2
Manual upload
- Download the WP EasyCart .zip file from wordpress.org
- In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Upload the complete .zip file (do not unzip it first) and click Install Now
- Click Activate Plugin
Mac Safari users: Disable “Open safe files after downloading” in Safari preferences to prevent the .zip from being automatically unzipped before upload.
Restrictive servers: If your hosting blocks plugin uploads, you can upload the plugin files via FTP to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory instead.
Upgrade
Installing the Professional edition
The PRO plugin installs alongside the free edition — it does not replace it. You can start a 14-day free trial (no credit card required) or upload a purchased PRO .zip file. No data is lost when upgrading from free to trial, PRO, or Premium.
